OUR STORY
We love the people of Richmond. Empowered by the grace of God, we seek to engage the needs of our city with the better story of Jesus, our good King who is making all things new through his church.
Jesus moved into the human neighborhood. He lived for us. He died for us. He rose from the grave conquering sin and death for us. In him, we are "no longer strangers and outcasts, but fellow citizens with all the saints and members of the household of God" (Eph. 2:19). Our story is the longing of every soul; God’s kingdom come, in Richmond as in heaven.
At EVG, we envision, pray towards, and are slowly becoming a church who behold the beauty of Christ in worship, belong to one another as a family, and build a disciple-making culture under the banner of his grace.
OUR VISION
For the Kingdom, in Richmond as in heaven
OUR MISSION
We exist to behold the beauty of Christ in worship, belong to one another as family, and build a disciple-making culture under the banner of his grace.
OUR CORE VALUES
We are a festive community with a high view of God. Our worship is deeply rooted in our Reformed Christian heritage. We believe true reverence leads to soaring joy and celebration because our great God has saved us and welcomed us to his table.
We are a family of friends who are deeply known and loved. The storyline of Scripture bends towards eternal friendship with God and one another. One of God’s primary means of grace is rich friendships where we experience the presence of Christ together.
We expect God’s grace to redeem both souls and society. The grace of Jesus in his life, death, resurrection, and present rule as King is the means by which the whole world will be saved. We extend this grace in every sphere of influence with the confident hope of restoration.
We embrace all of Christ, for all of life, for everyone. Jesus invites us on a journey of complete surrender. We submit all of life -our minds, bodies, emotions, friendships, families, vocations, and recreation to his Lordship.
